About the Event
On Sunday, August 3 will be a picnic at Skokie Lagoons, just off of Tower Rd—look for the red Forest Preserve District sign (Skokie Lagoons) just east of route 94. Turn right (south) and look for our group at the picnic tables by the parking lot. Noon. Bring a chair and some picnic food—something to share. Come a bit earlier if you’d like to help set up the tables.
Optional Kayak at Chicago River Canoe and Kayak-- 1770 Tower Rd, Winnetka. Rental $25 per hour for single kayak. If you plan to kayak, please let me know so I will look for you. Meet there at a bit before 10:30.
Optional additional activities: walk/hike along the bike trail, bocce, bags game after lunch.
